Star Spangled Banner

https://youtu.be/mKtlYv3NRNE

Happy 4th of July! What better song to kick off this great day than The Star Spangled Banner….and what better performance than Jimi Hendrix Live at Woodstock in 1969. This really is an iconic moment in Rock and Roll history. Jimi Hendrix had been awake for three days before taking to the stage to close Woodstock. He collapsed with exhaustion as he came off the stage after his two-hour set. Jimi actually performed this song over 60 times live, but this is by far the most famous version. I attached a video above that also includes an old interview with Jimi Hendrix about playing The Star Spangled Banner. Enjoy!
