Steve Earle Live

Steve Earle

Last night I went to see Steve Earle play live at The Canyon Club. Steve has been around a long time and played with so many great musicians over the years. As he said last night, ” I’ve wrote a fuck of a lot of songs”. Famous artists like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings have recorded his songs and Steve has won three Grammys. Steve Earle is a true legend among songwriters. He played a bunch of his classics last night and quite a few songs from his latest album “Terraplane Blues“. He is the kind of person you would love to hang out with around a campfire and listen to his stories and songs all night…….which, is kinda possible through his Camp Copperhead summer Guitar camp.

On another note, he told a touching story about his five year old son John Henry, who was born with Autism (ASD). He talked about how prevalent this disorder is in our country and the alarming rate at which children are born with this. He then played his heartwarming song “Remember Me“. What a great night of Music, Song and Stories. I highly recommend you go see Steve Earle if you get the chance.
