Theory of a Deadman

TOAD2

Last night I went to the Canyon Club to see Theory of a Deadman and Shaman’s Harvest. This was the first time Theory of a Deadman has headlined in Los Angeles. I was really surprised to hear this as they have five albums and have been touring for over 10 years. Theory of a Deadman are a Hard Rock band from Canada who are very seasoned in touring and performing live. This was probably THE best show I’ve ever seen at the Canyon Club. Theory brought in their own sound and light board, which made a huge difference in the overall show. TOAD sounded, looked and played incredible! Tyler Connolly, the groups lead singer and guitar player, didn’t even break a sweat playing through their set. He looked so comfortable on stage and brought out many beautiful Gibson Guitars. He used an all white Flying V, Les Paul, ES-125, ES-335…..all of which were custom Gibson Guitars. This was the first stop of their Summer 2015 tour so check them out if you can. Also worth mentioning is the opening band, Shaman’s Harvest. They are a Rock band from Missouri with a really cool, groove oriented sound. Their lead singer, Nathan Hunt, is a real presence on stage with a fantastic, soulful voice. Check out their song “Dragonfly” to see what I’m talking about.
