Ragged Old Flag

https://youtu.be/mbbGi3mTjCo

With the 4th of July a few days away, I always get to thinking about music that reminds me of this celebrated American Holiday. I thought I would try to post a few songs over the next couple days. For today, I thought the legendary Man in Black, Johnny Cash would be a good place to start. His song “Ragged Old Flag”, is a classic spoken word song about our great Nation. This 1974 release is a true tribute to Patriotism and the Grand Ol’ US of A. It’s often hard to imagine what so many Americans had to endure to get us to the United States we live in today. Hopefully, with all the Flags flying around this weekend, people stop and take a minute to reflect on all that was sacrificed to give us the Freedom we enjoy everyday as an American citizen.
